Well, let’s first start with “Why not Anna?” Here are the skills/experiences I don’t have so if these are deal-breakers, feel free to move on to the next candidate.

  1. I have no direct product management or production experience. Yes, I am a business student. No, I have never interned for business roles. My internship experience is actually in UX design.
    1. That is not to say I don’t have the skills necessary, but if the position requires prior experience, I am not eligible.
  2. I have very little coding experience. I have taken courses in java, python, and front-end development (html, css,js), but I have little confidence in my ability to code or understand complex code, especially backend.
    1. However, while limited, the technical knowledge that I do have does give me confidence that, if needed, I can learn the basic technical skills necessary (unless it is specialized or overly advanced).

So, with that out of the way, why consider me for the role?

I want to create positive change in the world around me, and that is demonstrated in everything that I do. For any project or task, I will ensure that I not only meet the requirements, but also consider better alternatives in terms of efficiency, creativity and morality.

I believe wholeheartedly in human-centered design (aka empathy driven). Products should be made with the user in mind, and thus, I will always be mindful of the big picture and ensure that the purpose of the product is fulfilled in its design.

I am a quick and (more importantly) curiosity-driven learner. In other words, I will ask the questions and do whatever is necessary to find the answers.

I am confident in my ability to overcome limitations in my experiences with an energetic attitude and a persevering spirit. 😊

Experience I do have

Of course, all of these claims are empty without the experiences backing it. So, I’ve taken the liberty to compile a summary of some of my major work experiences that I have given me numerous transferable skills.

Feel free to meander over to my resume as well.
